Oil Painting
At times, a painting is an extract of an artist’s diary, each strokes and lines concealing fragmented memories and emotions. Its secret blatant but far from exposed.
Other times, partake of familiar behavioral and characteristic traits, a painting can become each viewer’s self reflection.
A friend once said: “A picture paints a thousand words, and A poem reflects different images“

A handful of my friends have enquired me about the process of painting; I felt this will make a good platform to share. I have been pursuing art from a local artist since I was 6 and ever since then, painting weekly with him and art exhibitions have become consistencies in my life.

The duration to complete each painting varies. I paint layers by layers, and working on the next layer can only begin after the previous layer is sufficiently dry – which will take approximately 1 week. Moreover, it requires adequate combination of paint and linseed oil to lubricate the paint as well as obtaining the desired colours and textures.

My current work (still in progress) in a nutshell:
Week 1
Week 2
Week 3
Week 4
Week 5
Week 6
A few more layers, and I reckon a few more weeks to completion. Till then~~
